DIN 7973:1990 Oval Countersunk Head Slotted Tapping Screw

DIN 7973:1990 Oval Countersunk Head Slotted Tapping Screw combines a countersunk underside with a rounded top surface, allowing partial recessed installation while maintaining a smooth decorative head profile.

The slotted drive is simple to use, and the tapping thread reduces the need for a separate tapping process, improving assembly efficiency in sheet metal or plastic parts. The oval countersunk head is not fully flush after installation, but it sits lower than a pan head and is suitable for visible panels and covers.

This product can be used in appliance housings, instrument panels, decorative covers, light enclosures, and plastic components. Zinc plating, stainless steel, or other finishes can be selected to meet rust resistance, appearance, and durability requirements.

  • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together.
