A T-nut is an inverted T-shaped body with a flange and a threaded barrel. The barrel is pressed or set into a pre-drilled hole so the thread becomes captive in the workpiece and remains accessible from one face. Materials, Threads and Finishes

We produce T-nuts in carbon steel and stainless steel. Carbon steel parts are normally zinc plated for indoor furniture and light industrial use; stainless steel grades are selected where moisture, cleaning agents or outdoor exposure are present. Threads are cut or formed to the metric or inch series the drawing specifies.

Installation and Assembly Notes

Pronged and flanged T-nuts are set by pressing the barrel into a pre-drilled hole until the flange seats. The prongs or knurled collar grip the material and hold the nut against rotation and pull-out during bolt tightening. T-slot nuts are positioned by sliding along the slot, then locked by the bolt.

For volume furniture and panel lines, we can discuss barrel geometry that suits automated insertion tooling, and we keep flange and barrel tolerances consistent between batches so press settings do not need constant adjustment.
