DIN 960:1990 Fine Thread Hex Head Bolt uses a fine thread profile for joints requiring more precise preload control, higher engagement accuracy, and improved resistance to loosening. More engaged threads within a limited length support finer adjustment.
The hex head can be installed with standard tools and is used in automotive components, transmission mechanisms, hydraulic equipment, adjustment brackets, and vibration-prone mechanical connections. Fine threads are also useful where wall thickness or thread depth is limited.
Strength class, material, and finish can be selected according to load level and environmental conditions. For high-frequency vibration or long-running equipment, it can be combined with locking nuts, spring washers, or thread-locking solutions.
