DIN 931-2:2009 Metric M68-M160×6 Grade B Hex Head Bolt

DIN 931-2:2009 Metric M68-M160×6 Grade B Hex Head Bolt is designed for large-size metric fastening requirements. Covering the M68 to M160×6 range, it is suitable for heavy equipment and large structural components where load capacity, installation stability, and standard compatibility are important.

The hex head supports tightening with common wrenches, sockets, or hydraulic tools. Its partially threaded body leaves a longer plain shank for bearing and alignment, which is useful in thick-plate joints, multi-layer assemblies, and heavy machinery base connections.

The bolt can be supplied in carbon steel, alloy steel, or other material options, with finishes such as black oxide, zinc plating, or hot-dip galvanizing. For outdoor, humid, or high-load conditions, it can be combined with matching nuts and washers to form a complete fastening set.

  • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
