ASME/ANSI B18.6.3:2010 Oval Countersunk Head Slotted Tapping Screw

ASME/ANSI B18.6.3:2010 80° Oval Countersunk Head Slotted Tapping Screw uses a U.S. standard oval countersunk head. The underside fits a countersunk hole while the rounded top provides a softer visible appearance, making it suitable for exposed assemblies.

The tapping thread allows direct installation in thin metal, plastic, and other light materials, while the slotted drive supports common-tool assembly. The 80-degree head angle matches corresponding countersinks and helps improve seating and positional stability.

This product is used in export appliances, control panels, furniture hardware, decorative covers, and light industrial products. Materials, coatings, and packaging specifications can be selected to meet end-market requirements, standardized supply, and after-sales service needs.

It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
