Phillips Screw

Phillips screws carry a cross-shaped cam-out recess designed to allow driver disengagement at a set torque level, preventing over-tightening damage in high-volume and automated production assembly.

Drive Design: The angled cross recess self-centers the driver bit automatically, enabling fast one-handed engagement and efficient power tool operation on assembly lines where slotted screws would reduce production speed.

Cam-Out Function: The tapered recess walls intentionally allow the driver to disengage under excess torque, acting as a passive torque limiter that protects threads and workpiece surfaces in automated fastening operations.

Application Scope: The most widely adopted screw drive format globally, used in consumer electronics, home appliances, automotive interiors, communication equipment, and general hardware across all major manufacturing regions.

Materials and Standards: Produced in carbon steel and stainless steel to DIN 7985, ISO 7045, and JIS B 1111 specifications, with pan, flat, and oval head forms in metric and imperial sizes.
