Plain Washers

Plain washers are flat annular discs placed under bolt heads or nuts to distribute clamping force, protect substrate surfaces, and provide a consistent bearing face in metal, wood, and composite assemblies.

Load Distribution: Spreading bearing load across a wider footprint reduces contact pressure on soft or thin materials, preventing indentation, deformation, and progressive loosening of the joint under sustained service loads.

Surface Protection: The interposing disc prevents the rotating nut from abrading or marring the workpiece during tightening, preserving coatings and surface finish in furniture, architectural, and consumer hardware assemblies.

Dimensional Range: Available in standard, narrow, and wide series to match different bolt sizes and bearing area requirements, with metric and imperial thread compatibility.

Materials and Standards: Produced in carbon steel, stainless steel, and brass to DIN 125, ISO 7089, and equivalent specifications, with zinc plating, galvanizing, and stainless finish options.
