Drilling Screws

Drilling screws integrate a drill bit tip that penetrates metal substrates ahead of the thread, combining drilling and thread engagement into a single one-pass fastening operation without pre-drilling.

Drill Point Function: The fluted tip removes material cleanly before the thread engages, preventing layer separation or dimpling and eliminating the pre-drilling step required for hardened sheet metal and structural steel.

Point Classification: Drill capacity grades from type 1 for thin sheet through type 5 for structural steel sections match the correct point geometry to substrate thickness for clean, reliable penetration without thread damage.

Application Scope: Used for steel roof and wall cladding, color steel panel installation, structural purlin connections, and outdoor metal construction where single-pass installation reduces labor time and equipment requirements.

Materials and Standards: Produced in carbon steel to DIN 7504 and ISO 15481 specifications, with EPDM bonded washer options for weathertight roof and facade applications.
