DIN 5526:1999 Headed Pin

DIN 5526:1999 Headed Pin adopts a headed pin design for railway vehicles to meet the needs of pin connections needing dependable retention, easy inspection, and resistance to vehicle operating vibration.

The headed end assists stopping and removal, while the shank provides locating or shear function; with cotter pins, washers, or retainers it forms a complete safety assembly.
