ASME B18.8.2:2020 Taper Pin combines a U.S.-standard taper pin structure and is suitable for mechanical assemblies needing ASME locating reference, shear capacity, or tapered-hole engagement.
The taper pin creates close contact with the hole wall through its taper and can maintain good positioning accuracy under vibration or repeated service. Compared with ordinary fasteners, this form places more emphasis on controllable installation, surface protection, and efficient management of matching parts for engineering projects requiring stable supply.
It is commonly used in machine tool components, industrial fixtures, hinge structures, transmission parts, and North American spare parts. According to drawings or service conditions, dimensional tolerance, end shape, and heat treatment condition can be selected to improve overall fastening performance and service life.
