DIN EN ISO 10510 (S1):2011 Hex Head Tapping Screw and Flat Washer Assembly

DIN EN ISO 10510 (S1):2011 Hex Head Tapping Screw and Flat Washer Assembly is characterized by a hex head tapping screw assembled with a flat washer under the ISO system and is intended for assemblies needing socket installation, tapping engagement, and a larger bearing surface.

The flat washer reduces indentation on sheet metal, the hex head supports fast torque application, and the tapping thread creates fastening engagement in pilot holes. In assembly, the design helps reduce supporting operations, improve positioning consistency, and maintain good interchangeability in repeated production or field service.

Typical applications include metal cladding, equipment brackets, vehicle accessories, HVAC equipment, and engineering installation. The product can be configured with washer diameter, screw size, plating, and corrosion-resistant material to suit indoor, outdoor, light-load, vibration-exposed, or export supply conditions.

  • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. Its core function is to work with an externally threaded bolt to clamp two or more components to...

  • Simply put, a washer is a thin, disc-shaped ring with a central hole, typically made of metal (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or copper) or non-metallic materials (such as rubber, plastic, or asbestos). • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
