ASME B18.13:2017 Hex Head Spring Washer Assembly

ASME B18.13:2017 Hex Head Spring Washer Assembly combines a hex head tapping screw combined with a spring washer in SEMS form and is suitable for engineering joints requiring higher installation torque, tapping efficiency, and auxiliary anti-loosening support.

The pre-assembled spring washer reduces loose-part management and provides elastic compensation, while the hex head suits socket tools and the tapping thread improves field installation efficiency. Compared with ordinary fasteners, this form places more emphasis on controllable installation, surface protection, and efficient management of matching parts for engineering projects requiring stable supply.

It is commonly used in metal brackets, equipment housings, machinery accessories, vehicle components, and repair assemblies. According to drawings or service conditions, spring washer type, surface finish, and material strength can be selected to improve overall fastening performance and service life.

  • A screw is a fastening tool that utilizes the principle of an inclined spiral plane to join or secure objects together. Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. When turned, the rotational motion is con...

  • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. Its core function is to work with an externally threaded bolt to clamp two or more components to...

  • Simply put, a washer is a thin, disc-shaped ring with a central hole, typically made of metal (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or copper) or non-metallic materials (such as rubber, plastic, or asbestos). • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
