DIN 9841:2017 Hex Socket Screw

DIN 9841:2017 Hex Socket Screw combines a hex socket drive with a shoulder structure, making it suitable for fastening points that require reliable clamping, removable maintenance, and standardized assembly. The DIN standard background helps keep dimensional requirements clear across drawings, purchasing, and quality inspection, supporting smooth alignment between engineering drawings, purchasing lists, and quality inspection.

From an assembly perspective, the internal hex socket provides deeper tool engagement, enabling higher assembly torque in compact spaces while reducing external head interference. At the same time, the defined shoulder can serve as a locating, guiding, or rotational bearing surface, while the threaded section provides locking, so the screw can provide stable fastening performance across different sheet thicknesses, appearance requirements, and space limitations.

It is suitable for linkages, guide elements, stamping tools, sliding parts, and assemblies requiring repeatable positioning. For exposed equipment positions, head forming quality, recess integrity, edge chamfering, and coating uniformity can be emphasized so fastening performance aligns with the finished product appearance.

Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. When turned, the rotational motion is con...

  • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. Its core function is to work with an externally threaded bolt to clamp two or more components to...

  • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
