DIN 7971:1990 Pan Head Slotted Tapping Screw

DIN 7971:1990 Pan Head Slotted Tapping Screw combines a pan head, a slotted drive, and a thread-forming tapping screw design. It can create mating threads in sheet metal, plastic, or prepared pilot holes, making it suitable for light assemblies and cover fastening.

The rounded pan head provides a relatively wide bearing surface and helps reduce local deformation of thin materials. The slotted drive is compatible with common tools, making it useful for replacement service, low-speed assembly, and production environments with simple tooling.

This product can be used in electrical housings, sheet metal panels, plastic parts, ventilation equipment, light brackets, and general industrial panels. Zinc plating, stainless steel, or other protective finishes can be selected to improve rust resistance and assembly stability.
