Set Screws

Set screws are headless threaded fasteners that apply radial clamping force from the tip end, locking gears, pulleys, and collars to shafts without any protruding head that would interfere with adjacent rotating parts.

Headless Profile: Installation flush with or below the component surface eliminates interference with surrounding moving parts, enabling use in assemblies where head clearance is zero and surface protrusion is mechanically unacceptable.

End Geometry: Cup, flat, cone, and dog point tip forms are available, each optimized for different shaft materials and holding requirements, from soft surface protection to hard-edged positive positioning on hardened shafts.

Application Scope: Used for gear and sprocket fixation, mechanical stop positioning, collar locking, and fine clearance adjustment in machine tools, power transmission components, and automation assemblies.

Materials and Standards: Produced in alloy steel and stainless steel to DIN 914, DIN 916, ISO 4026, and ISO 4029, with hex socket and slotted drive options.
