DIN 928:2013 Square Weld Nut

DIN 928:2013 Square Weld Nut combines a square weld nut structure and is suitable for assemblies requiring an internal threaded point on the rear side of sheet metal or metal components.

The square shape helps positioning, and weld projections or weld faces bond firmly to the base material so bolts can be installed from the opposite side. Compared with ordinary fasteners, this form places more emphasis on controllable installation, surface protection, and efficient management of matching parts for engineering projects requiring stable supply.

It is commonly used in automotive sheet metal, cabinets, bracket assemblies, rail vehicle accessories, and metal housings. According to drawings or service conditions, thread size, weld projection form, material, and corrosion protection can be selected to improve overall fastening performance and service life.

Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. Its core function is to work with an externally threaded bolt to clamp two or more components to...

It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
