ASME/ANSI B18.21.1 (T2):2009 Heavy Spring Washer

ASME/ANSI B18.21.1 (T2):2009 Heavy Spring Washer is used in inch-series connections requiring enhanced loosening resistance and elastic support. The heavy pattern usually provides a larger section and stronger spring reaction, making it suitable for bolt joints with higher clamping force or vibration exposure.

It can be used on equipment bases, auxiliary steel connections, construction machinery, pipe supports, and maintenance assemblies. After compression, the split spring washer provides rebound that helps compensate for slight relaxation and improves long-term stability of the fastener set.

Material, hardness, and surface treatment can be selected according to inch bolt size, load level, and corrosion-resistance needs, meeting requirements in general industrial and outdoor installation environments.

Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
