DIN 7:1981 Dowel Pin

DIN 7:1981 Dowel Pin is characterized by a precision cylindrical dowel pin structure and is intended for mechanical structures requiring accurate hole-to-hole positioning, guidance, and repeatable assembly reference.

The cylindrical body fits reamed or locating holes, mainly carrying shear and positioning loads without relying on threads, improving assembly consistency. In assembly, the design helps reduce supporting operations, improve positioning consistency, and maintain good interchangeability in repeated production or field service.

Typical applications include molds, fixtures, gearboxes, equipment frames, locating plates, and transmission components. The product can be configured with tolerance grade, chamfer form, material hardness, and surface roughness to suit indoor, outdoor, light-load, vibration-exposed, or export supply conditions.

Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. When turned, the rotational motion is con...

  • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
