DIN 7984:2022 Socket Head Cap Hex Socket Screw

DIN 7984:2022 Socket Head Cap Hex Socket Screw combines a hex socket drive with a low socket head, making it suitable for fastening points that require reliable clamping, removable maintenance, and standardized assembly. The DIN standard background helps keep dimensional requirements clear across drawings, purchasing, and quality inspection, supporting smooth alignment between engineering drawings, purchasing lists, and quality inspection.

From an assembly perspective, the internal hex socket provides deeper tool engagement, enabling higher assembly torque in compact spaces while reducing external head interference. At the same time, the low cylindrical head reduces installation height while retaining hex-socket driving space, making it suitable where overhead clearance is limited, so the screw can provide stable fastening performance across different sheet thicknesses, appearance requirements, and space limitations.

It is often used in molds, automation equipment, guide-rail components, and mechanical structures requiring reduced projection. It can be supplied in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and other materials, with zinc plating, nickel plating, black oxide, phosphating, or other finishes to balance corrosion resistance, appearance, and assembly friction.
