ASME/ANSI B18.2.2 (T5):2010 Hexagon Slotted Nut

ASME/ANSI B18.2.2 (T5):2010 Slotted Hex Nut is used in inch-thread systems where mechanical retention is required. The slotted top can be paired with cotter pins, drilled bolts, or shaft-end features to create a visible and reliable anti-loosening arrangement.
