ASME B18.2.1 (T8):2012 Hex Flange Screw

ASME B18.2.1 (T8):2012 Hex Flange Screw is suitable for direct fastening into tapped holes or threaded components. The flanged head provides a larger bearing area, helping protect the mating surface and improve clamp-load distribution.

Compared with a standard hex screw, this product can reduce the need for washers, making it useful where space is limited, assembly steps must be simplified, or a clean external appearance is desired. It can be used for equipment covers, brackets, light structures, and industrial components.

Selection should consider thread size, engagement depth, material compatibility, and finish. For thin plates or softer base materials, the balance between flange bearing area and tightening force should be managed to prevent local surface damage.
