ASME B18.10:2006 Round Head Bolt

ASME B18.10:2006 Round Head Bolt is intended for track and similar heavy-duty joint applications. The round head helps reduce exposed interference, while the oval cone neck supports location and anti-rotation in matching hole forms.

This product is suitable for railway accessories, switch structures, heavy guide rails, mining tracks, and joints exposed to vibration and impact. The neck geometry improves self-seating during assembly and reduces bolt rotation during tightening.

Hole form, grip thickness, and matching nut specification must be carefully coordinated. For outdoor track environments, corrosion-resistant finish, batch consistency, and regular post-installation inspection are especially important.

Its core structure consists of a cylindrical body with continuous threads (like spiral ridges), typically featuring a head at one end for convenient rotation. • Now that we've covered bolts, their "perfect partner" — the nut — is much easier to understand. Simply put, a nut is a small metal block or disc with a round hole in the center and internal threads on the wall of that hole. • Simply put, a bolt is a cylindrical fastener with external threads. It works with a matching nut or is screwed directly into a threaded hole of the mating part to firmly hold two or more components together. To put it intuitively, think of it as a "metal nail." However, unlike a nail that is driven in with a hammer, a ...
