ASME/ANSI B18.6.2 (T5-dog):1998 Slotted Full Dog Point Set Screw uses an extended dog point that can enter a prepared hole, keyway, or locating slot to provide guidance, stopping, and anti-rotation functions. It gives a more defined locating effect than a standard flat point.
The slotted drive allows assembly with a common flat-blade tool, making it practical for mechanical structures that are not highly restricted but require periodic adjustment or service. The full dog point can also help reduce relative movement after installation.
This product is suitable for collar fixing, sliding part stops, instrument adjustment, fixture systems, and light machinery positioning. It can be supplied in standard dimensions or configured with specific material, heat treatment, and surface protection requirements.
