Weld Screws & Nuts

Weld fasteners are screws and nuts with a flat base and anti-rotation positioning features for permanent attachment to sheet metal by welding, creating a fixed threaded point without drilling or reverse-side access.

Base Design: Raised positioning bumps locate the fastener accurately before welding, with base geometry optimized for projection or stud welding in automated manufacturing lines to ensure consistent placement and standoff height.

Joint Strength: Once welded, the fastener becomes integral with the parent material, providing thread pull strength that typically exceeds the sheet metal thickness in shear and tensile loading directions.

Application Scope: Standard in automotive body production, appliance shell manufacturing, engineering machinery frames, and sheet metal fabrication requiring a permanent threaded boss without bracket hardware or reverse-side tooling access.

Materials and Standards: Produced in carbon steel and stainless steel to ISO 13918 and DIN EN ISO 14555, covering projection weld nuts, spot weld screws, and drawn arc stud variants.
